"Qingming carries our grief, yet heroic souls endure forever." To commemorate revolutionary martyrs and pass on the red legacy, on the morning of April 4, CHCI’s Ninth Company, Tenth Company, Hainan Real Estate Company, Property Management Company, and representatives of the Twelfth Company in Hainan organized a red-themed educational event titled "Honoring Martyrs on Qingming, Perpetuating Their Spirit." Over 30 party members, cadres, and employee representatives gathered at the Liberation of Hainan Island Campaign Martyrs’ Cemetery to pay solemn tribute to the heroes and draw inspiration from their spirit.
At 10:00 AM, the cemetery stood solemn and silent, with the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Monument towering imposingly. Participants lined up in orderly rows, holding white chrysanthemums, and faced the monument in silent reverence. All bowed three times to the monument honoring the martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives during the liberation of Hainan Island, followed by a minute of silence to reflect on their noble dedication to national independence and people’s liberation. Employee representatives then stepped forward one by one to lay flowers, gently wipe dust from the tombstones, and express profound respect through their actions.
During the event, Zhu Xingwang, Party Secretary of the Ninth Company of CHCI stated, "This year marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Hainan Island. As builders of the new era, we must follow the martyrs’ spirit, integrate patriotism into our work and lives, and engrave our commitment to serving the people into every engineering project. We will contribute to the Group Company’s growth and ensure its enduring prosperity." Hainan-based companies will use this event as a catalyst to deepen the integration of party-building and business operations, with plans to launch initiatives such as " Red-themed Construction Sites" and volunteer services for tackling technical challenges within the year.
After the memorial ceremony, participants visited the revolutionary martyrs’ memorial site. Through historical photographs, precious artifacts, and accounts of heroic deeds, they revisited the arduous years of the martyrs’ struggles.
The Qingming memorial activities resonated deeply among employees. Standing on the land where their predecessors fought, they pledged to pursue excellence in urban construction, safeguarding the ideals for which the martyrs sacrificed. "Heroes rest in green hills; their deeds fill history’s pages." Guided by the martyrs’ spirit, CHCI will embrace its mission in the new era’s infrastructure endeavors, striving for high-quality development and advancing its vision to become a top-class geotechnical engineering technology group.
